Haaland aims to reach 100 goals

Norwegian Erling Haaland continues to impress with Manchester City in the English Premier League, as he now aspires to reach the 100th goal in the competition. Haaland started the new season strongly, scoring a goal against Chelsea, followed by a hat-trick against Ipswich Town, and then another hat-trick against West Ham, to achieve 7 goals in just 3 matches. According to Opta statistics, Haaland's scoring rate reached 2.33 goals per match during the first 3 rounds, and if he continues at this rate, he may end the season with around 90 goals. Haaland, 24, has scored 70 goals in just 69 matches, putting him on track to break the record for the fastest player to reach 100 goals in the English Premier League, held by Alan Shearer. Shearer scored 100 goals in 124 matches, while Haaland needs 30 goals in 54 more matches to surpass his record. In addition, Haaland has scored eight hat-tricks in the Premier League, putting him close to Sergio Aguero's record of 12. Haaland also became the first player to score hat-tricks in two of his first three league games since the 1994-95 season with Bradford City.
