Ancelotti: Real Madrid has not reached its best level
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted after the 2-0 win over Real Betis in the fourth round of the Spanish League that his team has not yet shown its best level in the new season. He stressed that the team is capable of recovering and improving its performance after the end of the international break. Ancelotti said: "We were the better team today and we deserved to win, we have the desire and enthusiasm to try to do better. It was a good match with greater solidarity from everyone, and we are heading into the international break with good feelings." He added: "We were more solid in defense thanks to the midfield trio of Fede Valverde, Dani Ceballos, and Tchouameni." He continued: "Brahim Diaz played well in midfield, and I do not consider any player a substitute, but they are all important to the team, regardless of the minutes played." Regarding Tchouameni, he said: "We cannot do without him, he is a great defensive midfielder and helps our defense a lot." Ancelotti expressed his concerns about the international break and its impact on the team, saying: "The international break is not good and we may lose some players, but I hope that there are no injuries and that the players return in good condition." Regarding Mbappe and the pressure he is under, Ancelotti said: "The pressure is not on us, we value teamwork more, and the match was better than the previous one against Las Palmas."
