Bruno's terms ahead of new Manchester United deal
Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes wants to 'improve the team' before signing a new contract at Old Trafford. Fernandes has renewed his contract with Manchester United until 2027, with an option to extend it for a further year. The Portuguese midfielder, who joined the Red Devils from Sporting Lisbon in 2020, has been instrumental in the club's success and remains a key member of Erik ten Hag's squad. "The club knew I wanted to compete with the best teams, they knew we needed to improve the team and I think we are doing that," Fernandes told MUTV. "I said to them: 'You don't need to promise me we will win the league, because nobody can promise that, but at least we will have a team that can compete throughout the season, try to win titles and compete at the highest level,'" Fernandes revealed. "I think the club is doing that, they are trying to bring more quality players into the team; to be more competitive, so that everyone fights for your place." Despite interest from major European clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and several teams from the Saudi Pro League, Fernandes’ primary focus has always been to continue his journey with United. Fernandes is set to continue to play a crucial role in United’s quest for success.
