Milner carves his name into Premier League history

Brighton captain James Milner wrote his name in gold in the history of the English Premier League, after participating in his team's 3-0 victory over host Everton, in the first round of the new 2024-2025 season. The official account of the English Premier League stated, via various social media, that James Milner, by playing against Everton, has participated in 23 different seasons in the competition, and he is the first player to reach this achievement. The 38-year-old and 226-day-old Brighton captain broke Ryan Giggs' record to become the oldest player in Premier League history. James Milner made his Premier League debut on 10 November 2002, and on 17 August he became the first player to appear in 23 different Premier League seasons. Milner played for many clubs during his career, such as Leeds United, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Liverpool, Manchester City and finally Brighton.
