Osimhen and Lukaku deal enters the decisive stage
British press reports revealed that negotiations between Chelsea and its Italian counterpart Napoli regarding the exchange deal for the duo Victor Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku have entered the decisive stage. The British newspaper "The Sun" reported that the Blues are about to obtain the services of the 25-year-old Nigerian striker in an exchange deal with the southern club in the current summer Mercato. The newspaper added that former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte, and current Napoli coach, is seeking to include Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku and young midfielder Cesare Casadei for 17 million pounds, in addition to another 39 million pounds to complete the deal. The newspaper indicated that Enzo Maresca, the new coach of Chelsea, wants to sign Osimhen after the failure of the transfer deal for Samu Omorodion for 34.5 million pounds from Atletico Madrid. The newspaper explained that Napoli and Chelsea discussed exchanging loans between the duo, but Osimhen prefers a permanent move to the London club starting next season. Nigerian star Osimhen, who won the Serie A top scorer award for the 2022-23 season, has been linked with a move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain, but the Blues are leading the race to sign him this summer.
