Barcelona player leaves for Girona

Barcelona midfielder Oriol Romeu has officially joined his former club Girona on loan until the summer of 2025. Girona signed their former player on loan after he was out of the plans of the new German coach Hansi Flick, who took over the training of the Catalan club after the Spaniard Xavi Hernandez was dismissed at the end of last season. Barcelona's official account published an official statement announcing the departure of midfielder Oriol Romeu to Girona for one season on loan. Oriol Romeu, 32, has a contract with Barcelona until June 2026, meaning that he has two seasons left on his contract with Barça, and he will be out on loan until 2025 and then return. Romeu played 37 matches with Barça last season in all competitions, where he managed to create one goal.
