Hollywood star and Canadian-American actor Ryan Reynolds, co-owner of Wrexham FC, has made an unconventional offer to Egyptian star Mohamed Salah to join his team. Wrexham is a professional football club based in the Welsh city of Wrexham, and is considered the third oldest professional football team in the world, playing in the lower divisions of the English Premier League. The takeover of the club by Reynolds and fellow American actor Bob McElhenney has brought the team a lot of fame, and they are hoping to increase the club’s popularity by signing a global star like Mohamed Salah. In a video published by the English Premier League website, Reynolds is seen pleading with Salah and inviting him to join Wrexham, saying: “Mo, you will be hugged warmly at the racecourse in North Wales.” Although the offer appeared to be a joke, Reynolds concluded his statement by saying: “Think about it.” Mohamed Salah, 32, is under contract with Liverpool until next summer, and has not yet decided whether he will extend his contract with the Reds or leave at the end of it.
