Brazilian Club Seeks To Sign Barcelona Striker

Press reports indicated that the Brazilian club Corinthians aspires to obtain the services of Vitor Roque, the striker of Barcelona, during the current summer Mercato.

Barcelona had signed Victor Roque during the last winter transfer window, and he played 16 matches with the Catalan team in various competitions.

The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed, according to Brazilian media, that Corinthians club wants to obtain the services of Vitor Roque from Barcelona club, during the current summer Mercato on loan, after the Brazilian club entered into negotiations with the agent of the Barcelona striker.

The newspaper pointed out that the Brazilian striker is one of the strong candidates to leave the Catalan club during the current summer, especially since the player has not been registered in the team's roster for the next season yet, due to the financial crisis the club is going through, after he was registered in the second half of last season, instead of the injured Gavi.

The newspaper explained that Lamine Yamal obtaining the number 19 for the Brazilian striker next season gives a strong indication that Vitor Roque will not have a place on Barcelona's roster next season, which may help Corinthians of Brazil negotiate to sign the player on loan.
