La Liga: The competition for the Football League Tables & Standings caught up

The eighth round of the competition ended yesterday evening, Sunday La Liga For this season, which saw two defeats for Real Madrid and Barcelona, against Espanyol and Atletico Madrid, respectively.
Reigning champions Atletico Madrid went level with Real Madrid at the top of La Liga and inflicted further damage on Ronald Koeman's struggling Barcelona with a deserved win in Spain's capital 2-0 in La Liga on Sunday.
Barcelona was defeated by Atletico Madrid with two goals without a response, while Real Madrid fell to  first league defeat of campaign as they lost 2-1 at Espanyol .
