Morata Hints At Retirement After Euro 2024
Spain striker Alvaro Morata has hinted at the possibility of retiring from international football in the coming period after the end of his participation in the Euro 2024 European Nations Cup. The Spanish national team had snatched a ticket to qualify for the semi-finals of Euro 2024 by defeating Germany 2-1 in the match that was held in Stuttgart. Morata said in his statements about his future with the Spanish national team: "It is possible that I will retire internationally after the end of the Euro, but I do not want to talk about it too much." He added: "I feel happier outside Spain because people respect me there. In Spain, there is no respect for anything or anyone." The Spanish national team will play against France in the match that will bring them together in the semi-finals of the Euro 2024 Championship held in Germany. At the club level, Morata was linked with moves to Juventus, Milan, Roma and Al-Qadisiyah of Saudi Arabia, but he announced that he will remain at Atletico Madrid.
