Messi wins UEFA Best goal in the second round of the Champions League


The European Football Association announced that the Argentine star Lionel Messi, the Paris Saint-Germain striker, won his first individual awards in the Champions League this season.
Lionel Messi's goal against Manchester City was chosen as the best goal in the second round of the Champions’ League group stage, in the match that ended with PSG winning 2-0 at the Parc des Princes.
Messi kicked the ball from the middle of the field and exchanged the ball with Kylian Mbappe, then fired a neat shot from the edge of the penalty area into the top corner of Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson's goal.
Lionel won the UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week award, beating Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann, his goal in Milan, Sebastian Thiel, Sheriff Tiraspol's goal against Real Madrid, and Alex Telles, the Manchester United player, over his goal against Villarreal.
Messi's goal got the highest rating as the best goal in the second round of the Champions’ League group stage, while Sebastian Thiel's goal came in second place, then Alex Telles' goal came in third place, and Antoine Griezmann's goal came in fourth place.
