Uruguay Knocks Brazil Out Of Copa America

Uruguay qualified for the semi-finals of the 2024 Copa America, currently being held in the United States, at the expense of its Brazilian counterpart, on penalties 4-2, after the regular time of the match ended in a goalless draw, which was held at the "Allegiant" stadium, in the quarter-finals of the tournament. The match witnessed the absence of Vinicius Junior, the star of Real Madrid, from the Brazilian national team due to suspension, after receiving a yellow card during the match against Colombia, in the last match of the group stage. Nahitan Nandez, the Uruguayan national team player, was sent off directly in the 74th minute of the match, after his violent intervention on his counterpart Rodrigo, the Brazilian national team player. The penalty kicks smiled in favor of the Uruguayan national team, with a score of 4-2, after it wasted one kick compared to two kicks by the Selecao. The Uruguayan national team will face its Colombian counterpart in the semi-finals of the Copa America, and in the other match, the defending champion Argentina will play its Canadian counterpart.
