Nagelsmann Comments On Germany's Qualification For The Euro Quarter-Finals
Julian Nagelsmann, the coach of the German national team, spoke about his team’s qualification to the quarter-finals of the Euro 2024 tournament, after defeating its counterpart, the Danish national team, 2-0, on Saturday evening, in the tournament’s quarter-finals, which will continue until next July 14. Nagelsmann said in the press conference after the match: “It was a somewhat strange match. The first 25 minutes were the best for us in the tournament. We scored a goal that I thought was correct, but the referee did not accept that. Such interventions occurred at every corner. It was "It's just that, there was nothing dramatic." He added: “We were delayed due to the rain and what happened, and we changed things a little, and we succeeded in showing some play during the second half in light of our desire to get behind their defense faster.” He continued: "We are really good. We saw that in the first 20 minutes. We had to endure a lot of resistance today. We must be more patient and wait for our moments." He continued: "It was not an easy match. The Danish team performed very well. We tried to impose things, perhaps too much. We qualified with the help of the fans. I am proud of the players. They are beginning to realize how good they are." Nagelsmann concluded his statements: "There is always room for improvement. I was very happy with the first 20 minutes. We have to be patient and keep the ball. If we can continue to do what we did in the first 20 minutes, it will be difficult to defeat us."
