Mikautadze Is The Top Scorer For Euro 2024
Georgian striker Giorgis Mikautadze is the top scorer in the European Nations Cup, which is being held in Germany, scoring his third goal against Portugal since the start of the tournament in mid-June. The same player scored a goal against both Turkey and the Czech Republic, for the first and second rounds, and his goals against the Czech Republic and Portugal came from penalty kicks. Giorgis Mikautadze scored a goal for his fellow winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, early in the first half of the confrontation with “Brazil Europe”. 10 minutes into the second half, he took the lead to take a penalty kick, after a foul on Portuguese defender Antonio Silva, and scored the second goal for his country. Before the two teams’ match, the title of top scorer in “Euro 2024” was shared between six players, each of whom scored two goals: Giorgis Mikautadze, the Germans Jamal Musiala and Niklas Volkrug, the Slovakian Ivan Skrans, the Dutchman Cody Jacobo, and the Romanian Razavan Marin. Mikautadze represents the French team Metz, and his market value is estimated at 15 million euros, according to the “Transfer Market” football website.
