Modric Enters Euro History

Croatia star Luka Modric put his country in the lead during the match against Italy, in the third and final round of the group stage of the European Championship (Euro 2024). In the 55th minute of the match, Modric was able to put Croatia in the lead, after a good follow-up to Boudina's touch, which was blocked by Italy's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Modric followed up with a shot into the net. According to the Ho Scored network, Modric became the oldest player to score a goal in the history of European nations, at the age of 38 years and 289 days. Modric missed a penalty kick in the 54th minute, after Donnarumma saved the ball, but the veteran star returned just one minute later and scored the lead goal for Croatia, reviving his country's hopes of advancing to the round of 16 of the Euro 2024 tournament.
