Ronaldo Is At The Top... The Ranking Of Top Scorers In The Roshen League
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nasr, was crowned top scorer in the Saudi League this season, with a large difference from his closest rivals. Cristiano Ronaldo won the award with 35 goals, 7 goals ahead of Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic, the Saudi Al Hilal striker. This season, Ronaldo played 31 matches with Egypt in the Saudi League championship, while Mitrovic played 28 matches, due to the injury he suffered that kept him out of more than one match. Ronaldo won this award for the first time in the Saudi League, after joining Al-Nassr in the middle of last season. Last season’s top scorer was Moroccan Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah, 7 goals behind Ronaldo, who played only half a season. Ronaldo was not satisfied with the top scorer award, but also broke the record for the number of goals scored in one season, which was named after Hamdallah (34 goals in the 2018-2019 season, also in the Al-Nasr shirt). Foreign professionals dominated the list of scorers in the Saudi League this season, while Firas Al-Braikan, the star of Al-Ahly Jeddah, is considered the best local scorer.
