OFFICIAL: Goretzka extends his contract with Bayern Munich until 2026

Bayern Munich on Thursday issued an official statement  announced extending Leon Goretzka's contract, which was to end in June 2022, until 2026, and thus close the door on Real Madrid, who are interested in contracting him for free next summer.
According to the club's official website, Bayern Munich has extended the contract of Leon Goretzka, which was originally valid until June 2022, for a period of 4 years until 2026.
“With FC Bayern we have won everything there is to be won over the past three years,” said Goretzka after extending his contract. “But confirming and repeating this success would be even nicer. We want to build on that in the next few years.”
"The team, the club and the environment are not just highly professional, but also familiar. This mixture is one of the things that guarantee success at this club. I’m very happy to be extending my contract until 2026," he added.
