Real Madrid Makes History As European Champions
The Spanish team, Real Madrid, set many records after qualifying for the Champions League final, beating its German counterpart, Bayern Munich, 2-1, in time, during the match that brought the two teams together on Wednesday evening, in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals. The royal team is scheduled to meet its German counterpart, Borussia Dortmund, in the Champions League final, at Wembley Stadium in the British capital, London, on June 1. Real Madrid has scored at least one goal in 29 consecutive home matches in the Champions League, and has not failed to score since December 12, 2018 (0-3 loss against CSKA Moscow). The Royal Team won four matches despite conceding the first goal in the Champions League this season, the most for a team in one season since Real Madrid also in 2016/17 (5) when it won the title. Real Madrid will play in the Champions League final for the 18th time, more than any other team in the history of the tournament (Milan and Bayern Munich, 11), and has also reached this round in 6 of the last 11 seasons.
