Press reports revealed that Julian Nagelsmann, the current coach of the German national team, is close to returning again to coach Bayern Munich, starting next season, succeeding current coach Thomas Tuchel. Bayern Munich had suddenly dismissed Nagelsmann from his position in March of last year 2023, and appointed Thomas Tuchel in his place, a few months before the end of last season. Sky Sports said that Bayern Munich's management has finally decided on Nagelsmann's return to coach the Bavarian team starting next season, after the end of his contract with the German national team, at the end of the Euro 2024 tournament next summer. The global network added that Nagelsmann has become the strongest candidate to coach Bayern Munich, especially after Xabi Alonso's decision to stay with his club, Bayer Leverkusen, the German League champion, during the season, after he was the preferred alternative to succeed Thomas Tuchel. The report indicated that the coach of the German national team agreed, in principle, to return again to coach Bayern Munich, after the end of the Euro 2024 tournament, although he did not give his final decision to Bavarian club officials regarding his return to coach the team.
