Deschamps Is Disappointed!

France coach Didier Deschamps acknowledged that the Germans “played a high-level match,” adding that he was “the first to blame” for the 0-2 defeat at home in the friendly match. Florian Wirtz surprised the French team with a shot from a long distance, after a perfect pass from Kroos. This goal was a few milliseconds faster than the one scored by Lukas Podolski against Ecuador in 2013, and was the fastest for Germany until the match. Deschamps expressed disappointment, in his 150th match as coach of France. He said: “We were not present, that is clear. The Germans played a high-level match. When we look at the way we started the match, with this goal, we did not lift a finger.” He added: "The Germans performed better than us in terms of commitment and offensive ferocity. We were below par, and I am the first to blame."
