The Former Barcelona Star Is Accused Of Tax Fraud!

A Spanish court convicted former Barcelona player Arda Turan of tax fraud in Spain, and sentenced him to a one-year suspended prison sentence. The court indicated that the Turkish midfielder committed tax fraud twice during 2015 and 2016, and was fined 630,000 euros ($684,000). Turan joined Barcelona in 2015 from Atletico Madrid, and remained with the Catalan team until he was loaned to Turkish Basaksehir in 2018. Turan also played for the Turkish team Galatasaray until his retirement in 2022. A number of football stars were implicated in charges related to tax fraud in Spain during the The last ten years, like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho. But Turan and his previous players and coaches did not go to prison, but were given suspended prison sentences of less than two years for first-time tax fraud offenders in Spain.
