A Spanish court convicted former Barcelona player Arda Turan of tax fraud in Spain, and sentenced him to a one-year suspended prison sentence. The court indicated that the Turkish midfielder committed tax fraud twice during 2015 and 2016, and was fined 630,000 euros ($684,000). Turan joined Barcelona in 2015 from Atletico Madrid, and remained with the Catalan team until he was loaned to Turkish Basaksehir in 2018.
