Qatar Stars League conducted the draw for the 2021-2022 season Ooredoo Cup, in which the tournament will start on 5th September,2021.The competing clubs were divided into two groups based on their standings in last season’s (2020-2021) QNB Stars League.
The draw results were as follows:
Group A includes Al Rayyan, Al Ahli, Al Wakrah, Umm Salal, Al Shamal, while Group B involves Al Gharafa, Qatar SC, Al Arabi, Al Sailiya, Al Khor.
It may be noted that Al Sadd and Al Duhail clubs have been excused from participating in this season’s tournament, as they both have a large number of players in various Qatar national teams and also because there is clash of dates of the tournament with FIFA Days.
