South Korean Lee Kang-in, the French star of Paris Saint-Germain, apologized to his compatriot Son Heung-min, the English star of Tottenham, for the quarrel with the latter that led to him breaking one of his fingers in the South Korean national team camp. The English newspaper "The Sun" reported that a quarrel broke out between the Korean national team players on the eve of the confrontation with Jordan, resulting in Tottenham star Son Heung-min sustaining an injury to his finger. Lee Kang-in apologized for his role in the altercation that led to the injury of the South Korean national team captain, before being eliminated from the semi-finals against Jordan in the Asian Cup. Through his official Instagram account, Lee Kang-in wrote: “It was reported that I got into an altercation with Son before the Asian Cup semi-finals.” He added: "I have caused great disappointment to all football fans who support the national team. I am very sorry. I should have listened to the older players and apologized for not showing a good attitude." He noted: "I apologize to the many people who are disappointed in me. I am well aware of how much the fans care about me as a player. From now on, I will try to support the great players and become a better player and person." Son appeared wearing a bandage on his finger during Tottenham's last match against Brighton in the 24th round of the English Premier League.
