The Agreement Extends Gerrard's Contract Until 2027

Steven Gerrard, coach of the Saudi Al-Ettifaq team, is close to extending his contract with the club for an additional two years. Gerrard enjoys the support of Al-Ettifaq club management despite the recent decline in the team’s results, and he will sign a new contract that will keep him in his position until 2027. The English coach, the former Liverpool star, took over the leadership of Al-Ittifaq last July. But the Saudi team did not achieve any victory in the last 8 matches and occupies eighth place in the league table after achieving 6 victories in 19 matches. Amid this decline, Steven Gerrard is about to lose English international midfielder Jordan Henderson, who is close to joining the Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam only six months after joining the ranks of Al-Ettifaq. Gerrard's assistant coach, Ian Foster, also left this month to take over as technical director of the English club, Plymouth.
