English Premier League: Liverpool and Man United boosted their top vital victory

** Liverpool got their Premier League title bid off to a winning start with a comfortable victory at newly promoted Norwich City (3-0), in the encounter that brought the two teams together in the first round of the English Premier League. Tired legs cost Norwich City as Liverpool made their quality pay to record their first win of the Premier League season at Carrow Road. 
The Reds got their 2021-22 campaign off to the best possible start with goals from Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah at the 26th, 65th and 74th minutes.

** Man United beat Leeds United 5-1 in season opener. Bruno Fernandes scored an opening-day hat-trick as Manchester United swept Leeds aside with a devastating second-half display.

French midfielder Paul Pogba provided four assists, more than his total in the whole of last season in the league, to help United, who played fiercely in front of full stadiums for the first time in 17 months.

** In another match, Chelsea easily beat Crystal Palace 3-0, as the European champions began their off-season in the English Premier by sending a strong message of their desire to compete for the title.

**Leicester City began their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Stunning goal from Jamie Vardy in his own way in the 41st minute at King Power Stadium.
Ricardo Pereira dribbled past two of his observers on the right flank and then passed a cross that Vardy pounced after overpowering Conor Coady, turning it into the top corner of the goal with an amazing touch.

**In another match, Watford kicked off their return to the Premier League with a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa.
Emmanuel Dennis and Kocho Hernandez scored in their first appearance with Watford, while their colleague Ismaila Sarr hit the net with a shot that changed its direction to take the second-tier team up 3-0.
Manchester United leads the competition table and standing positions  with 3 points, followed by Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton, Brentford and Watford, all with the same points.
