Liverpool FC Extends Goalkeeper Alisson Becker Contract until 2027

Liverpool has officially announced that the Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker on long-term renewal of his contract with the club, as the Reds look to tie key players down for the future.
The goalkeeper Becker becomes the third player to sign a contract extension at Liverpool this summer after compatriot Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fabinho committed their long-term futures to the club.
According to the “Mirror", daily newspaper published in London, reported Becker has extended his contract at the club until 2027 as the Reds look to tie key players down for the future.
Becker, 28 years, moved from Roma to Liverpool in the summer of 2018 for £62million. Becker also played a key role in Liverpool winning the Premier League, Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup.
According to “Transfermarkt” - The football website for transfers, market values, rumours and stats, reported that Baker participated in 130 games with Liverpool, in which he conceded 104 goals, and kept a clean sheet in 59 matches, knowing that he scored a goal last season in the English Premier League.
Speaking from the Reds’ pre-season base in Evian, Alisson told Liverpoolfc.com, “I think I didn’t waste too much time to think about that. It’s something we just built in those last three years, the confidence, the trust that I have in the club and the club has in myself.”
“Me and my family, we are really happy here. My kids are settled in England, in a different country, but they are growing up in that way. So we are really happy. I’m really glad that I can keep going on with my work here, doing a good job here. So, I’m really happy to make this decision – that is not hard for me.”
Alisson added, “We have to set goals and we have to set them high – winning everything that we are playing [for], the Champions League, Premier League, the cups, everything. I think we can start from there. But obviously winning depends on what we will put on the pitch, what we will give on the pitch and we have to give 100 per cent at least. If we can push harder, we will go.”
Liverpool is scheduled to start the 2021/2022 season against Norwich City in the English Premier League on Saturday, August 14.
Liverpool full back Trent Alexander-Arnold signed a contract extension on Friday to stay with his boyhood club through the 2024-25 season, Fabinho until June 2026, and goalkeeper Adrian Castillo, without revealing the duration of the contract.
