on the sidelines of the Gold Cup match in Houston, Head of CONCACAF receives QFA President

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), met with Mr. Victor Montagliani, President of the CONCACAF Confederation.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the President of QFA attendance at the final match of the Gold Cup, which was crowned the title of the US team at the expense of its Mexican counterpart.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Hassan Al Thawadi is the Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, Mushtaq Al Waili, Executive Director of the Strategic and Institutional Planning Office QFA and Mr. Mansoor Al Ansari , the General Secretary of the Qatar Football Association.
This meeting comes within the framework of the distinguished relations between Qatar Football Association and other friendly federations, which will strengthen QFA future cooperation frameworks.
Earlier, the President of the CONCACAF Confederation had held a dinner banquet, which was attended by the President of the Qatar Football Association and his accompanying delegation, to celebrate the first Qatari participation in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2021.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed various issues of common interest and the importance of activating channels and ways to develop relations in the coming period to serve that would benefits the football and increase the bonds of distinguished relations between the two federations.
On this occasion, Mr. Victor Montagliani, President of CONCACAF said: “This edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup witnessed the hosting of the Asian champions Qatar, as they made a huge contribution and made a great appearance in the tournament, not only on the pitch but also off the field.”
