Ancelotti Reaches A Historic Achievement With Real Madrid
Italian Carlo Ancelotti, coach of the Spanish team Real Madrid, reached a historic achievement with his club, at the level of the Champions League, after the exciting victory over German Union Berlin, by three goals to two, in the sixth and final round of the group stage.
Ancelotti became the most victorious manager in the history of the Champions League, with 42 wins in 56 matches, surpassing the previous record held by Miguel Muñoz, who achieved 41 wins in 70 matches.
Real Madrid succeeded in achieving the full score in the Champions League group stage for the third time after the 2011-12 and 2014-15 editions, and reached the semi-finals on both occasions.
The Royal Team topped the third group standings, with 18 points, then Napoli, Italy, with 10 points, qualifying together to the eighth final of the competition.
