Barcelona Is Considering Getting Rid Of Lewandowski

Spanish club Barcelona officials are considering offering Polish Robert Lewandowski, the Catalan team's star, for sale after the end of the current season. According to the Spanish “Chiringuito” program, Lewandowski’s decline in level this season prompted Barcelona’s management to consider selling him after the end of the season, if he received a good financial offer. The Spanish program indicated that Lewandowski is now experiencing his worst period with Barcelona on the technical level, and is being subjected to severe criticism as a result, indicating that Blaugrana officials are concerned that the Polish striker’s level will continue to decline and collapse even further. The program confirmed that there is a state of dissatisfaction within the Barcelona castle, regarding the level of Lewandowski during the recent confrontation with Atletico Madrid, which ended in favor of Barcelona with a clean goal. Lewandowski did not score with Barcelona during his last 3 matches, and he only scored twice in his last 10 confrontations with Barcelona. Lewandowski's scoring rate declined this season, compared to what he scored with Barca last season, as he scored only 8 goals in 17 matches this season, while last season he scored 41 goals in 63 matches. Lewandowski moved from Bayern Munich to Barcelona in the summer of 2022, with a contract extending until the summer of 2026.
