Revealing The Nature Of Ronaldo's Injury
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, the Saudi Al-Nasr striker, suffered a neck injury during the match against Iranian Persepolis, in the AFC Champions League group stage competitions.
Ronaldo did not continue the match, after a joint ball with the Iranian team's goalkeeper, as he left the field in the 78th minute of the match.
Al-Riyadiah newspaper said that the initial diagnosis of Portuguese star Ronaldo's injury was a severe bruise in the neck, and the medical team began physical therapy sessions to recover from it.
Castro, Al-Nasr coach, spoke about Ronaldo’s injury, saying: “The medical team is monitoring the injury. It is not an easy thing, but I hope that the medical staff can do what is possible for him to recover and return with the team.”
The Al-Nasr team qualified for the second round of the AFC Champions League from the third group despite its draw against its guest, the Iranian team Persepolis, where it reached the 13th point, continuing at the top of the standings without suffering any loss so far.
