Mane Celebrates His 100th Match With Senegal

Sadio Mane celebrated his 100th match with Senegal by scoring two goals, leading them to a 4-0 victory over their guest, South Sudan, in the African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Senegal did not need more than one minute for Pape Sarr to open the scoring after a pass from Mane. The Saudi Al-Nasr striker made the score 2-0 in the sixth minute, before Lamine Kamara added the third goal just before the break. Mane concluded Senegal's goals with a penalty kick 12 minutes into the second half, giving the team the first three points in the second group of qualifiers for the finals in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Senegal is ahead of the Democratic Republic of Congo on goal difference, while Sudan comes in third place with one point, like Togo. Mauritania ranks fifth without a score, like South Sudan. The winners of the nine groups qualify directly to the finals, while the four best second-placed teams advance to the playoffs.
