FIFA imposes sanctions on Étoile du Sahel

Tunisian press reports revealed that the independent Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) of the International Football Association "FIFA" rejected the appeal submitted by Etoile Sahel club on its outstanding fine to Al Ahly SC regarding the issue of Souleymane Coulibaly with his former club.
"FIFA" imposed sanctions on the Ivorian forward to pay fine amount $1.4 million in 2018 by FIFA’s Dispute Settlement Court as they stressed that Coulibaly should pay this fine before signing for a new club.
The Tunisian newspaper, "Al-Hurriya", stated that the Sports Court decided to suspend the Ivorian player Soleimani Coulibaly for a maximum period of 6 months, starting from tomorrow. Coulibaly will also be prevented from concluding contracts for a maximum period of 6 months, until the fine dues are paid to Al-Ahly SC.
The International Sports Court rejected the appeal submitted by the Etoile Sportive Club, where the court upheld the decision issued by (FIFA) to compel the Etoile du Sahel and the player to pay a fine amount $1.4 million to Al-Ahly Club, in addition to 15% annual interest.
The Ivorian star Soleimani Coulibaly had case over his acrimonious exit from the Cairo club in the summer of 2017, despite the continuation of his contract with the club with incorrect allegations. Al-Ahly SC took all legal measures to preserve his rights, and the Sports Court upheld the ruling issued by the International Federation in favor of Al-Ahly.
