They Don't Understand... Ancelotti Withdraws From The Referees' Session!
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti complained that the referees do not understand the coaches, after a tense meeting at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation. In Barcelona, Xavi, along with several other Spanish League coaches, held a meeting at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation, and the meeting was held to discuss arbitration and other issues in Spanish football, most notably the lack of severance pay that the coach receives upon his dismissal. Ancelotti has previously complained that referees in La Liga do not show enough respect for coaches, while Xavi is said to have suggested holding a joint press conference so coaches can air their grievances. The meeting at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation appeared to have done little to resolve the tension between referees, coaches and the Spanish Federation in general, with Ancelotti expressing his anger afterwards. When a journalist asked him how the match went, Ancelotti said, "It was a mess. They don't understand us as coaches." The Italian left the Spanish Football Federation headquarters early so that he could lead Madrid's training session on Tuesday, in preparation for their next match, which will be against Cadiz on November 26 after the international break.
