Which English club will bid farewell to the Carabao Cup semi-finals tonight?

A repeat of last year's Carabao Cup final takes place on Wednesday evening at Old Trafford, as Manchester United face Newcastle United. The confrontation between Manchester United and its guest Newcastle at Old Trafford on Wednesday will be the most prominent match in the fourth round of the English Football League Cup competition, in a repeat of last season’s final. This match, slated for Wednesday night, is undeniably the marquee fixture of the fourth round.  Newcastle United travel to Old Trafford on Wednesday evening as they meet with Manchester United in the fourth round of the EFL Cup. The pressure is on Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag ahead of the Carabao Cup clash with Newcastle as Sir Jim Ratcliffe pushes ahead with his investment in the struggling Red Devils  It has been an awful season for Manchester United, with boss Erik Ten Hag struggling to change around their fortunes. The Red Devils are languishing in a lowly eighth in the Premier League standings after losing five out of their opening ten games for the first time. Their latest nightmare came at the hands of fierce rivals Manchester City on Sunday when they were well beaten at Old Trafford. The pressure is cranking up on Ten Hag, but he has a quick chance to get fans back on the side with a Carabao Cup clash against Newcastle on Wednesday. Ahead of the game, the Dutchman has insisted he is the right man to lead the Red Devils and hit out at his critics. Elsewhere, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is pushing ahead with his buy-out of a 25 percent stake in the struggling giants. The British billionaire has already made a decision on Ten Hag's future as the boss comes under fire. Bruno Fernandes has been scrutinized by many since he was named Manchester United captain in the summer, but Harry Maguire - the man he replaced - is not one of them. Maguire had the captaincy stripped from him ahead of the 2023/24 campaign after losing his spot in Erik ten Hag's team. The Dutchman subsequently handed the armband to Fernandes, who is widely recognized as United's best player. However, there have been question marks over the Portuguese midfielder's suitability for such a role in the past after some divisive on-field antics. And those concerns have been raised again in the wake of United's chastening 3-0 loss in the Manchester derby. Arsenal are lining up a move for former Manchester United target Benjamin Sesko. Sesko, 20, rejected interest from the Red Devils last summer and instead joined RB Leipzig. However, the forward didn't move to the Bundesliga outfit until July 2023 and spent one final season in Austria with Red Bull Salzburg, scoring 18 goals in 41 appearances. Manchester United would need to cough up more than £ 15 million to sack Erik ten Hag.  While the Dutch head coach’s job is not currently at risk, pressure is ramping up after their dismal start to the season was compounded by Sunday's derby thrashing at the hands of Manchester City at Old Trafford. Rice led West Ham to victory in the final match of the European Conference League, as this was his 245th match in the ranks of the club, which he joined when he was 14 years old. As for Chelsea, which is suffering from two problems at the beginning of its career with its new Argentine coach, Mauricio Pochettino, it will play at home against Blackburn. Rovers is in the second level, before entering a very difficult phase as a result of a series of confrontations in the Premier League, the first of which will be next Monday at the home of its neighbor, Tottenham, the leaders, and then against Manchester City, Newcastle, then Brighton and Manchester United.
