Feyenoord striker Jimenez still on Barcelona's radar

Mexican and Dutch Feyenoord striker Santi Jimenez has entered the circle of interest of the Spanish Barcelona FC, to sign a contract with him during the next year to strengthen the attacking line, according to what the Catalan press reports said. The Catalan newspaper "Sport" reported that Barcelona is not planning to sign a striker during the upcoming winter transfer period, as it plans to rely on Vitor Roque in attack in the second half of the current season. The newspaper added that the possibility of including another striker in the winter transfer market is also possible, especially if Robert Lewandowski leaves the Catalan club next summer. The newspaper pointed out that Barcelona is following some players in the European leagues, perhaps the most prominent of whom is Santiago Jimenez, the Dutch Feyenoord striker, who is only 21 years old, but he scored 12 goals in 14 matches in the Dutch League this season. The newspaper added that Jimenez is considered a promising striker, and may be a good option for Barcelona in the future. However, he is unlikely to be a priority for Barca in the next January market.
