Golden Boy to be presented early next month
Organized by the Italian sports publication Tuttosport since 2003, the Golden Boy is given to the calendar year’s outstanding Europe-based men’s soccer player under the age of 21. The recipient of the award is chosen by an international jury of journalists from newspapers including AS.
Bellingham, who will be the first footballer ever to win the Golden Boy while playing for Madrid, is to be officially crowned at a ceremony in Turin on 10 November.
Accolades are heaping in for Bellingham
"Sport" newspaper had previously revealed that Bellingham had won the Golden Boy Award, which is given to the best player under 21 years of age playing in Europe. Bellingham will succeed Barcelona players Pedri and Gavi, winners of the last two editions of the prestigious award presented by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
