Argentine star Lionel Messi concluded his first season with his American team, Inter Miami, by losing to his counterpart, Charlotte, with a clean goal, in the American League competitions. Messi did not succeed in helping his team avoid defeat against Charlotte, continuing his scoring absence for the fifth match in a row. Messi began his career with Inter Miami with a great achievement, as the team won the League Cup to win the first title in its history, and the Argentine national team captain scored 10 goals in 7 matches in the tournament. Inter Miami also qualified with Messi for the final of the US Open Cup, but the Argentine star was unable to play in the final, which the team lost to the Houston Dynamo due to injury. The season is over for Leo Messi and it's time to take stock. The player won one trophy, the Leagues Cup, and came up just short of another, the US Cup. In all this time he has scored 11 goals in 14 games. Inter Miami finished in the American League in penultimate place in the Eastern Conference (34 points), and gained only 3 points in the last 6 matches, but before Messi’s arrival, the team was ranked last.
