Real Madrid is interested in summer move for Man City forward Alvarez

Press reports revealed that Argentine star and Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez, has entered Real Madrid's circle of interests to sign with him during the upcoming transfer period to strengthen the royal team's attacking line. Manchester City could be about to brace themselves for interest in one of their first-team stars from La Liga giants Real Madrid, a new report has detailed. The Premier League champions currently possess arguably the most-feared squad in European football at present, and their success in the UEFA Champions League last season has thrown plenty of their stars further into the limelight. As such, that has in turn left Manchester City on red alert for potential interest from some of their European rivals who may wish to capitalize on some players seeking exits from Pep Guardiola’s squad in search of improved game time. As such, that has in turn left Manchester City on red alert for potential interest from some of their European rivals who may wish to capitalize on some players seeking exits from Pep Guardiola’s squad in search of improved game time. One such player is Julian Alvarez, who despite starting the ongoing season in exemplary fashion and registering the joint-highest number of goal contributions for City so far, is operating out of position while Erling Haaland continues to lead the line. Alvarez is fresh off the back of one of the most remarkable personal seasons possible in club football, having won the Champions League along with the FA Cup and Premier League, accompanied by a FIFA World Cup success with Argentina. Now however, according to the information of journalist Sebastián Srur, Julian Alvarez is of interest to Real Madrid over a possible transfer in the summer of 2024, following on from claims in Spain regarding potential interest from rivals FC Barcelona. However, contrary to previous reports about Alvarez’s Manchester City contract, Srur details that the Argentina international does not have a release clause embedded into his newly-renewed Etihad Stadium contract signed earlier this year. It is highly unlikely that Manchester City would be happy sanctioning the sale of Julian Alvarez so soon after signing the player, and the current understanding from those close to the forward is that he is extremely happy with life in the north-west of England. The newspaper indicated that it is not yet certain whether the Argentine player has a release clause in his contract with the Citizens worth 50 million euros or not. It is noteworthy that Julian Alvarez, who moved to Manchester City from Argentina's River Plate in the summer of 2022, was on the radar of several Spanish clubs, including Atletico Madrid.
