Penalty awaits Osimhen, Why?
Super Eagles Nigerian star Victor Osimhen had the chance to half Napoli's poor run of form from the penalty spot, but missed, condemning the Partenopei to their third game without a win in Serie A. Osimhen is facing punishment from the South Club following what he did after being substituted against Bologna yesterday on Sunday, which ended in a goalless draw. Osimhen was seen in front of the cameras expressing his frustration towards coach Rudi Garcia after he saw his number hanging on the change board, as the 24-year-old striker believed that Napoli should have fielded other strikers in order to snatch the victory. Garcia said that the details of the heated discussion between them will remain private, as Tuttosport revealed that team captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo has been assigned the task of speaking to Osimhen about his behavior, and it is also said that the African player could now be fined as a result of his shouting on the touchline. Napoli is keen to clarify that no player is allowed to deviate from the script, or question coach Garcia’s decisions, as Osimhen referred to during a conversation with Di Lorenzo. A meeting between the in-form player and the frustrated coach is scheduled to take place at the club's training ground on Monday.
