Tottenham reveals clause allowing the buyback to re-sign Harry Kane
Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has revealed that the London club inserted a buyback clause into the deal that saw Harry Kane join Bayern Munich, according to the Evening Standard. Kane joined the Bundesliga champions on a four-year deal in a package worth at least £100 million. The 30-year-old ended a 19-year association with Spurs this summer after agreeing to a €120m switch to the Bundesliga champions. Speaking at a fan forum event on Tuesday attended by several others including head coach Ange Postecoglou, Levy publicly confirmed there is a mechanism in place to make a return a reality. Pushed by the host to confirm the existence of the clause after initially ignoring the question from a member of the audience, Levy said: "Of course." Harry Kane made a strong start with Bayern Munich and scored 4 goals in 5 matches. He is expected to participate in the upcoming match against Manchester United in the Champions League. In his statements before his first match with Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Harry Kane spoke about how much Tottenham means to him so far. Harry Kane said: “I will have my sights set on Tottenham for the rest of my life. "I'm really happy to see the team playing the way they do, and seeing the fans happy is great."
