Bellingham's impressive scoring record comes to an end with Real Madrid

English international and Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham, did not succeed in scoring with the royal team for the first time since joining the ranks of the Merengue last Mercato. For the first time this season, Bellingham didn't score for Real Madrid - but rest assured he's still a fan favorite. In a match that saw Bellingham pick up the LaLiga Player of the Month award for August just before kick-off, the Spanish giants had to come from behind to beat Real Sociedad 2-1 at the Bernabeu. Second-half strikes from Federico Valverde and Joselu sealed the three points and Bellingham very nearly added to his goal tally in the 90th minute but his low header was brilliantly scooped away by Real Sociedad goalkeeper Alex Remiro. Bellingham didn't play a big role in either of the goals but the notoriously fickle Los Blancos faithful still revere the 20-year-old England star. During the match some fans in attendance at the Bernabeu were heard singing the Beatles classic 'Hey Jude' in honor of their new no.5. The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder also starred for England during their 3-1 win over Scotland last week. Bellingham, who joined Real Madrid in a £88.5million deal, is set to make his Champions League bow for his new club on Thursday, which sees them face Union Berlin on Wednesday evening.
Carlo Ancelotti's side is top of La Liga with a maximum of 15 points, with rivals Barcelona two points behind in second place.
