Pochettino Tells Chelsea Fans: "Am I going to cry?"

Following Chelsea’s disappointing goalless draw against Bournemouth, Mauricio Pochettino, the team’s manager, acknowledged the fans’ booing but assured that it would not impact his management style. The Blues’ performance was largely lackluster, with numerous missed opportunities to score. Once the final whistle blew, the Chelsea supporters booed the players off the pitch. Pochettino stated, “What can we do? For me, I have nothing to say. The fans can do whatever they want. We know what we need to do, and we strongly believe in our approach. “Unfortunately, we had some bad luck. Today, we had 12 injured players, as well as Noni [Madueke], [Marc] Cucurella, and [Moises] Caicedo. On top of that, we had three or four young players and two goalkeepers on the bench.
“Am I going to cry about it? Am I going to complain? No, I accept this challenge and remain positive,” Pochettino concluded. Chelsea has only managed to win one Premier League game out of their first five. Chelsea continued their lackluster start to the season with a goalless draw at Bournemouth on Sunday. The Blues have just five points from five games and sit 14th in the table but their cause has not been helped by multiple players being out on the sidelines, including captain Reece James, forward Christopher Nkunku, midfielders Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo, and center-backs Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile. Chelsea spent nearly 400 million pounds this summer and broke the EPL transfer record for the second time in eight months after signing Caicedo from Brighton for 115 million pounds.
