Lamine Yamal enjoys historic debut with Barca and Spain’s men’s team

Barcelona's rising teenager Lamine Yamal sets many historical records during the current football season 2023-2024, as he came off the substitutes’ bench during the last international break this month of September. Spain’s 16-year-old Lamine Yamal enjoys a historic debut, becoming his country’s youngest goalscorer and player Yamal became the youngest player in the history of the Spanish League to start during the twenty-first century after his appearance with Barcelona against Cadiz. Statistics reveal that at the age of 16 years and 38 days, Lamine Yamal became the youngest player to start a La Liga match in the 21st century, beating the previous record set by Fabrice Olinga in September 2012 (16 years 112 days). Barcelona's rising talent is also the youngest player to score a goal in the Spanish League during the 21st century, at the age of (16 years and 45 days). At the international level, Yamal is considered the youngest player and top scorer with the Spanish national team (16 years and 57 days), in addition to being the youngest player to start with La Roja at the age of (16 years and 61 days).
