Fans are baffled at the reason why Son can’t take selfies with supporters

The strange reason Tottenham star Son Heung-min is unable to touch some fans' phones when taking selfies has been revealed. The South Korea international, captain of Tottenham Hotspur, is one of the most affable and likable characters in football, always happy to pose for pictures with his beloved fan base, but he is not always able to take a leadership role in the process. Fans have been left perplexed after Son Heung-min seemingly refused to touch a supporter's iPhone. Son was approached by a fan who wanted to get a selfie with the Tottenham captain. But in bizarre scenes, the South Korean star appeared to say to the supporter he was not able to hold her mobile phone. Son apologetically put his two hands together and explained that she had to take the snap rather than him.
However, in a later clip at the same location, the attacker is seen holding another fan's phone without any issues as he takes the photo of them together. Eagle-eyed viewers believe they have figured out the unique reason for the different behavior. A video clip spread on social media showed Son apologizing to a fan for not being able to hold his iPhone while taking a selfie. This is because he has a sponsorship contract with Samsung that prevents him from touching or using competing products, and he became an ambassador for the Korean electronic phone company in the summer of 2023. Son works with many leading brands, including Calvin Klein, Burberry, and Gatorade, thanks to his profile, especially in his home country, which makes him clearly attractive to those looking for a famous face to front their advertising campaigns. Son has already scored three goals in the 2023-24 season after scoring a hat-trick in his last Premier League match against Burnley, as Tottenham have taken 10 points from four games so far under Ange Postecoglou.
