Zidane named a potential candidate to take over Germany's national
Veteran Frenchman star and Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is in contention to replace Hansi Flick as Germany's national team coach. Flick has recently been relieved of his duties, according to BILD. The German Football Association announced the dismissal of Hansi Flick from his post, after the humiliating defeat that the Germans suffered at the hands of the Japanese national team in the friendly that brought them together, which ended 1-4 in favor of the Samurai Blue. Zinedine Zidane is considered one of the candidates to lead the German national team during the coming period, before the start of the European Nations Cup (Euro 2024). Zidane, meanwhile, has been out of a job since his second Real Madrid stint came to an end. Over two stints in the Spanish clubs, the Frenchman left behind a tremendous legacy. He helped Los Blancos win three back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles between 2015 and 2018. Zidane is not considered the only candidate to succeed Flick. Rather, he is competing with Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp, whose task of contracting with him will be difficult in theory because he is linked to an ongoing contract with his English club, which is difficult to abandon. At the same time, the young man Julian Nagelsmann, the former coach of Bayern Munich, is on the list of candidates to lead Germany, as well as Louis van Gaal, the former coach of the Netherlands, and finally Oliver Glasner, the former coach of Eintracht Frankfurt, who is not bound to any contract at the present time.
