Al-Khelaifi re-elected as president of ECA

Mr. Nasser Ghanem Al-Khelaifi was elected president of the European Club Association by acclamation for a second term, Al-Khelaifi, president of the French club Paris Saint-Germain, took over the leadership of the European Club Association after succeeding as its president two years ago, succeeding the Italian Andrea Agnelli, the former president of Juventus. The European Club Association (ECA) has appointed Paris Saint-Germain's Nasser Al-Khelaifi as their new chairman by acclamation for a second term. ECA is the body that aims to take care of the interests of clubs on the European continent.  Agnelli, the chairman of Juventus, stepped down as ECA president, the organization that represents Europe's leading clubs, in light of the announcement of a Super League. The ECA Executive Board includes many influential figures such as former Ajax manager Edwin van der Sar, Atletico Madrid manager Miguel Angel Gil, Arsenal's Vinay Venkatesham, Leverkusen's Fernando Caro, Roma owner Dan Friedkin, Alessandro Antonello from Inter, and Fenerbahce president Ali Cook. . Al-Khelaifi’s role is considered significant in Qatar, similar to his presidency of Saint-Germain, as he played an important role in his country’s candidacy to host the 2022 World Cup. He also heads the beIN Sports channel network, which broadcasts the European Champions League competition in the Middle East and North Africa region.
