The FA announced that Saka won the Player of the Year award, ahead of Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich player Harry Kane, who ranked second and third, respectively.  The 22-year-old was selected by fans as the Three Lions' standout star of the last 12 months after beating competition from second-place Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane, who finished in third. Saka scored seven goals and grabbed three assists in 10 appearances for England during the 2022/23 season, which included his first senior hat-trick against North Macedonia in June.
