Defender Eric Bailly has joined Turkish side Besiktas on a one-year contract only transfer from Manchester United, the Premier League club said on Tuesday. The Ivory Coast international spent last season on loan at Olympique Marseille, playing in 17 league games as they finished third. After signing Bailly from United, Besiktas released a statement that read, "Welcome to Besiktas, Eric Bailly. Our club has reached an agreement with Manchester United for the final transfer of Ivorian defender Eric Bailly. We wish Eric Bailly, who we believe will provide important services to our club, great success with our glorious jersey, and present him to the public with our respect." Bailey joined Manchester United in the summer of 2016 from Villarreal Spain, for 38 million euros. He played 113 matches with United, scoring a goal and assist in the same.
