Rafael Benitez appointed Everton coach to replace Ancelotti

Everton Football Club announced the appointment of Rafael Benitez as the club's new technical director, replacing Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Everton confirmed in an official statement that it has signed Spanish coach Rafael Benitez to take over as coach of the team on a three-year deal, and he will start working with the team in the pre-season phase from July 5, 2021.
Benitez has an impressive track record with the clubs he has managed throughout his career. Rafael has seven major titles including La Liga, Coppa Italia, FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League titles during training periods in Spain, England and Italy.
Everton's major shareholder and investor, Monaco-based Farhad Moshirisa said: “"Rafa impressed us greatly with his knowledge and experience but, above all, the passion and hunger he showed to join our club," Moshiri said.
"We are appointing Rafa because we believe he will bring success to our club and to Evertonians."
On his part, Rafael Benitez said:"I am delighted to be joining Everton," he told the club's official website. "Throughout this process I have been greatly impressed by the ambition shown by the senior representatives at the club and their desire to bring success to this historic club.
"I believe this is a club that is going places. I'm determined to play a big part in helping this great club achieve its ambitions." he added.
