Ramos prepared to rejoin Seville... get a shock!

Spanish press reports revealed that Seville FC entered the race to sign veteran defender Sergio Ramos, to compete with the Saudi Federation to include the former Real Madrid defender. The former Spanish international is a free agent after his two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired at the end of last season. Ramos has been closely linked with a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad was he could have reunited with former Real Madrid team-mate Karim Benzema. However, Fabrizio Romano claims that he has agreed to sign a short-term contract with Sevilla. Ramos, who spent two seasons in Sevilla's senior team at the start of his professional career before joining Madrid, will return to Spain. It has been 18 years since he left Sevilla to sign for Los Blancos. The 37-year-old, who was released by PSG in July when his contract expired, has reportedly offered himself to Sevilla at any price, so he can play for his boyhood club before retiring. In the end, Ramos' offer was rejected by Sevilla, and the veteran defender will now look to continue his career elsewhere, perhaps in Ittihad Jeddah.
